Your training wonāt always go as you had planned it. And thatās okay.
In ten days Iām running the Liverpool Half Marathon.
A planned 8-10 mile training run yesterday in reality turned out to be just 5 miles.
Why?
My knees were sore (tendinitis)
My legs felt really heavy
Blisters under my feet made every step less than ideal
Around 2-3 miles in I knew I didnāt have it in me to run 10 miles today.
So I listened to my body, and headed homeā¦

I was frustrated that things hadnāt gone as planned.
But I also knew that I had done something productive nonetheless.
If anything my body was telling me that it needed a little more care and attention, to think more about sleep and nutrition and more formal recovery methodologies.
āYou win or you learn.ā
Today is a new day and we go again.
LESSON OF THE DAY š±
Life doesnāt always go as planned.
And when it doesnāt, its not about what happens to you, itās about how you perceive that situation and how you respond to it.
The main thing is that you are showing up.

Iāve tried a few things, but Iām getting bored of it and need something new
