WHY YOU SHOUDN’T BULK AND CUT

I see a lot of Coaches online who deliver transformations for their members, most of these processes end with a photoshoot.

But in my opinion, this seems so finite.

Your prep for months… for one day of photos?

What happens after the shoot?

Turning up to Shoot Day

Many embark on a bulking phase (a period of rapid weight gain)

Followed by a cutting phase (a dedicated period of fat loss).

Many use these phases to first eat in excess (and poorly) - resulting in unnecessary fat gain.

Then follow that up with a period of ‘cutting’ - reducing calorie intake to shed body fat, revealing the newly grown muscle.

This approach is far from effective - where’s the sustainability?

We aren’t bodybuilders on contest prep.

As everyday athletes we have our own unique goals, and once we reach them, we look to the next objective and the process continues…

“I’m struggling to get protein in, any suggestions?”

Take your daily intake and divide it by the number of meals and/or snacks you plan to have.

You will get a much more manageable number that you can attack at every feeding opportunity.

Then analyse what protein rich foods you currently eat, and eat more of this.

You don’t need to worry about finding new high protein foods, just eat more of what you already enjoy.
