My Scale Weight from Feb-Dec 2021

If you stick to something for long enough it becomes unreasonable to think that you won’t succeed.

Todays post is personal story that I don’t share too often, but one I am sure many of you will be able to relate to.

2021 was a challenging period for me, completing a Masters Degree online, interning in Professional Football and a number of other things left my head battered..

One of my biggest sources of escape was the gym - which was closed due to COVID.

My mental health plummeted, I rarely trained, and my nutrition suffered - it was a domino effect.

On February 2nd 2021 I weighed in at 159lb, now for someone 6ft 2 that’s not a great position to be in!

But I was determined to make a change - I was frustrated that I had fallen into this position.

In April the gyms reopened and I was like a man possessed.

The gym was my escape. It provided me with an opportunity to switch off from the world and work on myself - a well needed distraction.

For me, adhering to my Nutrition Targets was always the most challenging thing about the training process.

I had always found it a chore to eat the right amount of quality foods.

But not now - I was on a mission to regain what I had lost but also to become a machine and achieve results that I would be proud of.

I gained weight pretty quickly, and it was a never ending positive feedback loop of building momentum every week.

I was making progress faster than I ever had and it was because I stuck to the plan, day in, day out.

You don’t become confident by shouting affirmations in the mirror, but by having a stack of undeniable proof that you are who you say you are.

I apologise in advance for how bad the moustache is - I know that now 😂😂

We go to the gym for a number of different reasons and are motivated by both internal and external factors.

Whatever your why is, keep showing up, stick to the plan & the results will come.
