🌱 Everything You Want Has A Cost

QUOTE OF THE DAY 🌱

“If people reframe the period of life that they’re going through as the price they’re paying out of their wallet, but the wallet is their time, then I think more people would be willing to make that trade.”

Alex Hormozi

EVERYTHING YOU WANT HAS A COST

328 words | 1 min 11 sec read

Everything that you want in life has a cost associated with it.

Do you want lots of muscle mass? it’s going to cost time, energy, comfort and patience.

Do you want to be a strong runner? It’s going to cost time, energy, comfort and patience.

Do you want to eat healthier? It’s going to require you to make sacrifices and be show willpower.

There is a cost to every goal that we aspire to achieve, and that’s what makes it’s attainment so worthwhile.

As Steven Bartlett said:

“Time is both free and priceless. The person you are now is a consequence of how you used your time in the past. The person you’ll become in the future is a consequence of how you use your time in the present.”

Steven Bartlett

So next time you find yourself in the valley of despair on the path towards your goals, just know that this is the cost you are paying today for a better future tomorrow.

“What are examples of good and bad food?”

Anonymous

I wouldn’t say there are inherently good or bad foods.

There are certainly higher quality and lower quality foods.

Foods that will fuel you better for performance and enhance recovery.

There are also foods that can be deemed poorer quality, which have a higher calorie to protein ratio, a higher fat content, are more refined sources.

The key thing isn’t to completely eliminate the poorer quality foods, think sustainably (you’re human).

But, an element of sacrifice will be required of you dependent on the health and performance goals you aspire to achieve.

LESSON OF THE DAY

Nothing in life is free.

But the fact that you have chosen to make these costs, and use your finite time in this way and not in other ways - is what makes achieving your goals so special.
